My hair is never dirty, how did I get lice?
Lice actually prefer clean hair. However clean or dirty hair, you can get lice.

Can I prevent myself from getting lice again?
You can take measures to help prevent lice, however there are never any guarantees against lice.

How do I take care of my home now?

If you take care of it yourself, be sure to vacuum EVERYWHERE, throw out hair accessories, clean combs/brushes, vacuum your vehicles and car seats, spray sports helmets, etc.
Do home remedies like mayo or peanut butter work?
Home remedies can be extremely messy or hazardous. Mayo and peanut butter is suppose to loosen the nits but can be hard to remove from the hair and makes it difficult to comb through. Not to mention you have to leave on overnight to try to suffocate the live bugs – gross! Gasoline and kerosene can be extremely dangerous and harmful. Do not use these on your head.
Can my child go back to school after treatment?
Absolutely! The product kills all the live bugs and we comb them out so you can no longer give lice to others.
What does your product do exactly?
Our product kills any live bugs and is one of the only products on the market that helps loosen the glue the nits are attached to the hair with.
When can I wash my hair?
As soon as you want to. However we recommend waiting at least 6-8 hours as the spray protects and continues working while it is on your head.
Can’t I just shave my head?
Shaving your head will clear your current infestation, however the only way shaving the head helps prevent lice is if you go bald.
I have been fighting lice for months, why can’t I get rid of it?
You might not be getting all the nits off the head so the cycle just keeps continuing.
You might still be exposed on a regular basis to someone who has lice.
You might still have a problem with your home not being free of lice.
I am itching, does that mean I have lice?
No! You might be itching for a number of reasons. Just merely talking about lice makes people itch. You could also have other reasons that can cause you to itch; sun burn, dry scalp, poison ivy, etc.

Can lice fly/jump?
No! Lice are wingless and therefore cannot fly nor do they jump. They move by crawling.
How do lice survive?
Lice survive off human blood only. They survive off the human head because it provides the darkness, warmth and blood that they need. Lice feed off the human head like a mosquito.
Does using hair products (hairspray, hair color, gel, etc.) prevent lice?
No! These products do not prevent lice. Lice do prefer clean hair so they may prefer another head over a head with a bunch of product. However, they may have already laid eggs by the time they find a preferred head on someone else.
Does blow drying or flat ironing my hair kill lice?
No! Both of these do not provide enough concentrated heat on the head long enough to kill the lice or nits.
My husband has very little hair, is he safe?
No! If you have hair you can get lice. Even if you are bald on top and have very little hair on the sides. We know, we have seen it!
Am I the worse case you have ever seen?
No, not at all. We have seen people who have been fighting lice for years!
Should I send my child back to school?
Yes! You child can’t pass lice to anyone else anymore. However, if they got it from school keep checking them till you know the situation has been taken care of.
How long is the spray good for?
Our product has a 7 year shelf life.
Can I get lice from being in your shop?
NO! We take measures to sanitize our shop everyday and throughout the day.
We sanitize our combs and chairs between each use.

Can I get lice again?
Yes. There is nothing you can do to never get lice again, just measures to decrease your chances.
I am allergic to everything, can you still treat me?
Yes! If you do not want us to use our product, we can still spray you down with water and use our Terminator comb.
I used over the counter products (RID, NIX, etc.), why did they not work?
Over time lice have been able to build up a resistance to these products making them useless anymore. Not to mention we absorb these chemicals into our bodies making them unsafe!
How is your comb different?
Our comb has metal teeth that are very close together and have laser grooves going up each tooth that helps grab the lice and nits to pull them out. Everything gets trapped into the comb till you clean it off.
How do I clean the comb?
You can stick them in the dishwasher, boil them in water, or simply run them under water scrubbing them with a tooth brush on both sides.
Do I need a comb for each member of my family?
No. We do suggest cleaning the comb between each use.
I heard spraying the house really does not work, is this true?
No. Spraying the house not only can get in areas you might miss vacuuming, but it also adds a layer of protection if you bring lice back within 6 weeks.
Does this mean I have to wash and dry all our clothes?
No. Washing does nothing for the clothes (except clean them if they are dirty). You can just stick clothes in the dryer on the highest setting for a minimum of 30 minutes. That allows for enough concentrated heat for a long enough period of time to kill the bugs and nits.
How can I tell what I found is…
Lice? A bug the size of a grain of rice or smaller.
Nit? Tear dropped shape attached to the hair that does not move when your fingers run across it.
Dandruff? Flakes away or moves when touched or blown at.
Hair casting? Attached to the hair but moves when you run your finger over it.

Can I use the head treatment spray around the home?
Yes. However we suggest adding water to it. Full strength is only needed when applying to the head.
What is a “no nit” policy?
Schools with a “no nit” policy require kids that have lice or nits to be completely free of nits before returning to school. Usually have to pass an inspection with a school nurse before allowed to return to school.
